The unit used was an Audiovox CCS-100 available for around $100 from pepboys or amazon. Feel free to ask questions.
I have seen another write up on how to install cruise control on a Nissan Frontier but it left a lot to be desired due to safety issues. Mine was installed on an automatic 4cly so I had some space in spots where the manual does not plus I don’t have wiring diagrams out of all the years but can be found by easily consulting the service manual. So far I have been really happy with it and I tend to get 26-27mpg with it on.
I had to buy a longer vacuum hose and more scotch lock splices.
*Read the manuals first before starting
I have put pictures up but are not organized as of yet.
You have to prepare the cable of servo first by putting on the beads (I used 8 ) and the short cable on the end. Mine only came with one tube for over the coupling so I used heat shrink on the other. Then set the dip switches PPM 2000, on mine I did tach and vss, sensitivity medium, and tach source ecm I don’t remember setting the control switch.
Mount the servo
This picture shows where the servo when I just put it under the tab with the hole in it and put the bolt back through it.

This is to give a perspective to where it is.

Then remove the airfilter assembly
I recomend being in a garage to make sure nothing gets into the intake.
There are 2 wing nuts on top with washers underneath them and clips arount the out side that have to be undone as well. Then remove the larger vacuum hose that goes into the valve cover. To do that just squeez the clamp and move it down the hose a little and wiggle it off.

Once Done lift up the base and tilt it off to the side I was able to leave the small hose shown attached.

Once the filter is removed you need to first disconnect the throttle. It slides to the side and out.

To hold the throttle open I used a block of wood and vice grips to clamp to the L shaped gold thing.

Route the cable before attaching it. I routed it behind the abs and then through the loops for the throttle.

Then wrap the cruise control cable around the cylinder on the end of the throttle cable.

Then put the clamp on clamping the throttle and cc cable together.

Then Put the vacuum hose on from the servo and i put it through the loops for the cables and went around to the front of the throttle and put it into one of the test slots. As the manual notes NEVER TAP INTO THE BRAKE LINE.

Now The harder part the wiring I have limited info due to only having a 2004 service manual. but info on where to plug in is in the service manual. The info on where the sensor wires are can be found in the Engine control section of the service manual around page 90-100. The VSS is 2000PPM.
First you will have to make a hole to get the wires into the cabin. I ran them in through a plate that came off (very hard to take off due to the time on there and replace foam with fun foam) and I was able to drill a hole through. Put the plastic tubing over the wires. Once the hole is drilled I put in the o-ring gromet thing and put the wires through. For the ground I put it under the bolt for the servo unit.

Then Splice (I used the included scotchlock ones) the wires into where they need to go on the ECM I routed them under the carpet under then over and partially under the ecm to the other side of the ecm. On my 2004 the tach is on wire 4 and VSS is on 29 VSS setting is 2000PPM.
to remove the cover you have to under the bolt in the center and the whole connector comes out then towards each of the 4 corners there is a lip that took me 2 screwdrivers to undo (1from front and 1 from back)

Then you have to splice into the brake wires.

I can’t remeber the exact order on this part.
You have to put the connectors together.
Then you have to Put in the control remote thing. I put it in by poping off one of the blanks by the wheel and putting the wires through and I tied them up with tieraps to keep them out of the way of the pedals.

Then connect the connectors

Then you will have to connect to where the power is only an with ignition and I did that to the cigarette outlet and the connect the ground which I used the ground under the drivers side kick panel.
To remove the kick panel you have to undo the 4-5 plastic screw things on the bottom, but becareful not to stip them. Then the piece should come up

Then there is one screw on the kick panel that has to be undone.

Now you can move it I was unable to take mine off but I got enough room to mount to the ground.
Make sure everything is tidied up (ie: cruise control cable and vacuum hose tiewrapped to throttle, tie wrapping wires in place, I put the excess wire under the carpet inside to make it look nice and stay out of the way of the pedals.) and put back together.
